  • Keep the card in a safe place

  • Ensure smooth, long-lasting operation by lubricating the cylinder before it's initial use, as well as every 6 months, thereafter. If frequently used or exposed to hard weather conditions, lubricate the cylinder at least 4 times a year.

Use Mul-T-Lock approved lubricant, or ask your locksmith for an equivalent alternative.

  • Follow your locksmith's instructions for proper card and product handling.

MUL-T-LOCK® MECHANICAL AND E-CYLINDER

• Mul-T-Lock® cylinders must be installed correctly into freely operating locks. A misaligned door or poorly installed lock will cause an unnecessary load and friction that can damage cylinders.

• Never paint any external or internal part of a cylinder, and do not hose or chemical wash.

• MECHANICAL Mul-T-Lock® Cylinders must be frequently lubricated with Mul-T-Lock® liquid lubricant. The frequency of lubrication required   will depend upon weather, environment, cylinder usage and location. All cylinders must be lubricated at least twice per year. However, cylinders in particular conditions (such as those used on external doors) must be lubricated at least four times per year and whenever users experience difficulty in turning or inserting keys. Use only Mul-T-Lock® special lubricant. Please note that separate rules for lubrication apply to Mul-T-Lock’s® CLIQ® e- cylinders (see below).
